Las Vegas Events This Week (Dec 12–18): Krampus, Holiday Lights & Only-in-Vegas Fun
There’s something about this time of year that naturally invites reflection. As we move through December, I’ve been intentionally slowing things down meditating daily, reconnecting with my thoughts, and focusing on becoming the best version of myself. Not the “perfect” version… just the most aligned one.
Today is 12/12, and if you believe in a little magic (I do), it feels like the perfect moment to pause, reflect, and reset. Daily practices like meditation didn’t slow me down, they slowed time. Looking back, I got a crap ton done, with more clarity and a lot less chaos.
So if you’re feeling that “new year, new us” energy bubbling up a little early, you’re not alone. Let’s jump into what’s happening around Las Vegas this week.
What I’m Loving This Week: Krampus Has Entered the Chat 😈🎄
Okay… I never thought I’d say this, but here we are: I’m loving the Krampus trend.
If you’re unfamiliar, Krampus comes from old European Christmas folklore and is basically Santa’s dark alter ego. While Saint Nick rewards the nice kids, Krampus handles the naughty ones with chains, bells, and a very intimidating presence. Think half-goat, half-demon, all nightmare fuel.
What’s fascinating is how this once-suppressed tradition has made a full comeback. Thanks to pop culture, social media, and our collective love of the strange, Krampus has become the ultimate anti-Santa showing up at festivals, pop-ups, and yes… holiday photo ops.
And only in Las Vegas can I say this sentence with a straight face:

Festive? Yes. Terrifying? Also yes. An absolute oxymoron? Completely.
Weird to admit, but I kind of love it. A little scary, a little twisted, and somehow very on-brand for December in Vegas.

🌮 Taco Bell Ultra Marathon (Saturday, Dec 13)
This might be the most Vegas event of all time.
The Taco Bell Ultra Marathon is a roughly 48K run across Southwest Las Vegas, starting early Saturday morning and stopping at multiple Taco Bell locations along the route. And yes—runners are required to eat Taco Bell at each stop before continuing.
No entry fee. No elite prizes. Just grit, guts, hot sauce packets, and bragging rights. Costumes are encouraged, laughs are guaranteed, and honestly… watching from the sidelines might be the smartest move.
Yo quiero Taco Bell. And maybe a stomach of steel. 🌯🏃♂️

As we wrap this week up, I hope you’re taking a moment to appreciate where you’ve been this year—and how far you’ve come. Not just the big milestones, but the quiet progress, the growth that didn’t make headlines, and the moments you kept going when it would’ve been easier not to.
One mindset shift I’ve been leaning into lately is making the good things “traumatic events.” Stay with me here. We let stress imprint on us so easily… but what if joy did the same? What if wins, peace, clarity, and alignment stopped us in our tracks just as powerfully?
That’s part of my 1% better practice—and there’s more to come on that.
Until then, slow time just enough to notice what’s working. A little belief goes a long way. 🤍
